How do I get my ex boyfriend back? I want him back…?

My ex boyfriend and I were together for a few months before we broke up. He broke up with me because I was having trust issues with him and always questioning him and accusing him of stuff. So we have been broken up for about 3 weeks now. We still call and text each other everyday. I told him that I wanted him back and he said no that he was not ready to get back together and it may take time if it happens. Sometimes I feel like I am not giving him enough space because I text him and call him. Do you think he wants to be with me? Why does he still want to maintain contact with me? I think Ive smothered him enough? Is it too late to win by ex boyfriend back? I think I have already appeared desperate to him and I did not mean to. I love him soo much and my heartaches for him. We did it a few days ago even though we are not together. I thought it would bring us closer. What can I do to make him want me back? I love him so much!!
