my ex is getting married? We have been broken up for a year and hes been dating this girl since nov.Im crushed?

I have stayed away for him for 5 months no contact trying to get over him. it was very hard and I always hoped we would get back together. I finally was ready to try and use the get your ex back system. Well we were meeting again for a drink for the first time in a long time and he dropped the bomb on me. I was in shock..crushed, hurt, you name it. They have only been dating since nov and I believe he asked her in feb and the date is in aug. So quick… we dated for 4 years.. Why????
