i opened my boyfriend’s email.he got so angry, we broke up. i miss him, i said im sorry..i want him back. how?

my boyfriend lend me his laptop. i clicked on his outlook account to see if i can have it configured to receive my emails. Regretfully, i saw a sweet exchange of emails bet. him and a girl. i was upset because i was already his girlfriend back then. i confronted my boyfriend and told him i was upset about it. He got so angry, he said that I do not have the right to skim thru his mails, and that he lost his trust and so on. He broke up with me, I returned all his gifts and things etc. I felt cheated but I felt even worse why i had to open his outlook & see the email. Other than this, he never did me wrong (I think—as I don’t see everything). He was wonderful, and he did let me feel that he loved me. What shall I do, I felt cheated, yet I feel twas me who made mistake. he denied all those emails i read, and that he’s just sweet with all his friends. How will I get him back? I miss him so much. we were together for two years, and all was perfect till the break up.

well what you did wasnt THAT bad like everyone else is making out…its not like you cheated on him, plus you talked to him after and said that you opened his emails….

Anyway sounds like he got angry cause you found out something he didnt want you to find…..Especially if he over reacted? Did he over react, like over the top? Then he was probably a bit guilty and knew he did something wrong. I dont know what the emails said in them, so i guess it’s hard to comment about the content etc…..But come on…after two years? It seems silly to break up over that after you’d been together for a fairly longish time. So maybe it was just something that gave him a good reason to get out of the relationship?

I know how hard right now…it’s confusing…..cause as you say everything was “perfect” and he let you feel like he loved you….well ive been through that before…where a guy has let me know how much he loves me etc…but then he broke up in the most nasty way…..i think fact is…actions speak louder than words….and they (boyfriends) can say anything and not mean it…..why do they do that?

Maybe they mean it in that moment, in that point in time, maybe they arent as deeply emotionally involved and say what they think we want to hear…maybe they say it to keep us in the relationship…..it isnt exactly nice the way you guys broke up…how he has broken up and made you feel like it was all your fault…but you know what honey….with breakups….it’s never one person’s fault…it’s BOTH people…..

and you sounded like you were willing to work things out, but he didnt….did you guys have a big good talk before you broke up? Maybe you feel like it’s a little bit unfinished…..do what makes you feel better right now so that you can find closure?…if that’s asking him why he REALLY broke up…try that…or if you feel like it maybe send him an email or call him and say “look im really sorry that i looked at ur emails (only do this if you actually feel bad, cause u think it’s morally wrong ?), im sorry if you feel hurt that the trust has been betrayed…but i was really quite hurt as well when i saw those emails etc etc”
so try doing that maybe…..if he really loves you and wants to be with you i think he should be able to want and try to make it work……

Plus, after you have tried or said whatever you will eventually….and he is still mean or stupid to you….just think you dont deserve it….you deserve someone who wants the relationship to work as badly as you…..
